I started ResirWrecked costumes in 2004 while working on the Halloween/distressing team for Halloween Horror Nights Orlando. I recall working on some white captain's jackets thinking, "people might really like clothing painted like this. It's a cool look."
Shortly thereafter I bought the domain name and had various versions of "ResiWrecked Costumes." An Etsy store - an on again/off again affair that I use for traffic and selling odd onsie twosie items. An ebay store where I sold lots of Halloween Props.
Mostly, the business was used to find wholesale and closeout deals.
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I was laid off from my job as a Costumer from Disney Creative Costuming/Imagineering.
Turning to my business was a natural pivot. I knew I had something to offer to haunted attraction owners. Costumes - yes, but also a deep insight into how theme parks build and operate their costumes and costume departments. The technology used and the legitimate business processes surrounding everything costuming.
In my first year focusing on ResirWrecked Costumes I've had some amazing opportunities. My costumes have appeared all over the country including the innaugral Howl-O-Scream Seaworld Orlando.
Nothing brings me more delight than brainstorming with a client about their next project. I love to collaborate to solve problems and help tell stories.
